UNSW Book Fair
If you like cheap second-hand books of all sorts, the UNSW Book Fair will be on in the Scientia building from Thursday to Saturday!
Every book you can think of (plus sheet music!) for around $3 or even less!
Beware: you may go in … but you may not come out…
Come because this is the last year the Book Fair will ever happen. The people who run it annually have decided to retire after this year’s fair (and so my symphony’s funding will take a large hit).
ie I was volunteering at the book fair today and ended up walking out with a box full of books. Managed to nab Grimms fairytales for 20 cents. One can never buy too much Chekhov, I have decided. I also got a massive Bernard Shaw tome for free because it apparently had damp and it was going to be thrown out. =OOO
So I had to submit an apology letter
saying that I couldn’t attend the AGM next Tuesday night. These sort of official letters go to the New College Secretary of the SRC body thing. His name is Tank and his submit box is a TARDIS in front of his door.
(And I signed my letter “Dr. Pepper” with a fancy scrolling signature and everything).
I reblog stuff - a lot. Stuff that I like may include Sherlock BBC, Doctor Who, Disney, Harry Potter, Glee (as embarrassing as that is to admit) as well as any musicals I may be obsessed with at the time, such as Jersey Boys, Wicked, How to Succeed in Business Without Trying, Mary Poppins, Anything Goes, Annie Get Your Gun, AVPM and generally anything Starkid. Also life-ruining people like Darren Criss, Benedict Cumberbatch, Matt Smith, etc.
